Terms + POLICIES

The following Terms and Conditions apply to your stay at Shaen Street Motel & Angus Street Cottage. By clicking on the 'Book Now' button, you agree to the following.

Booking

  • Reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking.

  • All accommodation bookings must be guaranteed at the time of reservation by provision of valid credit card details

  • By providing valid credit card details, you warrant that you have the authority to use the credit card and you authorise Shaen Street Motel to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card in the case of cancellation or no-show penalties as detailed below.

  • Payment in full at time of booking.

  • All reservations will be confirmed by email.

Cancellation + REFUND policy

  • Free change of date up to 24-hours prior to check-in. Whilst no booking fees will apply, date and hotel changes will be subject to availability and any difference in rate. Your booking value will become a booking credit that can be redeemed at a time that suits you.

  • Cancellations requesting refunds will be negotiated with management on a case by case basis.

  • If bookings have been made via a third party, travel agent or tour operator, please contact them directly.

  • Peak Period - No refunds are given on bookings cancelled within 48 hours of arrival

  • Off-Peak and Shoulder Period Bookings – No refunds are given on bookings cancelled within 24 hours of arrival

  • There will be NO refunds if your stay is cut short for any reason

  • Refunds falling outside these times will be provided less any booking fees incurred by the Hotel for the transaction

Check-in and check-out

  • The standard check-in time is 2.00 pm. 

  • Standard check-out time by 10.00 am.

  • For guaranteed arrival prior to 2.00 pm, please preorganize with management.
    Late check-out up to 11.00 am is at the discretion of the motel manager and must be requested the night before check out.  

  • Late check-out after 11.00 am will incur the full rate of one (1) night’s accommodation.

  • Please notify in the event of late arrival. Arrivals will only be accepted when the motel is open for trade.  

  • Additional persons (including infants) will incur an additional charge.

General terms and conditions​

  • Damage, breakages, theft, and losses are the tenants’ responsibility during their stay.

  • Additional cleaning fees may apply as required.

  • Smoking is not permitted at any time inside rooms. An additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged.

  • Pets are not allowed in the motel.

  • For the enjoyment of all guests, noise restrictions apply after 9 pm. Excessive noise WILL NOT be tolerated.

  • The number of guests must not exceed the number stated on the booking confirmation notice or subsequently agreed upon in writing or by email.

  • Lost or stolen keys will incur a $200 fee. Attempts will be made to contact the guest who will be given the opportunity to return the keys taken. Failure to do so will result in the fee being charged to their credit card.

  • Room degradation (such as vomit, and bodily wastes) a $200 cleaning fee will be charged, plus any professional floor cleaning charges at cost, plus a daily room tariff equal to the daily tariff that we would charge if the room was available to be let or any other rate that may be agreed to by the management, in accordance with business demand on the day, until the said room has been returned to its saleable condition.

  • The breach of any of the above conditions may result in immediate termination of rental and charges applied.

 

Party Policy

  • Zero tolerance party policy.

  • In the interest of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the motel, a no-party policy applies to all guests staying at the property.

  • Guests are expected to be respectful of other guests at all times, and to be quiet between 9.00 pm-7.00 am.

  • No group congregations in individual guest rooms are permitted or tolerated. Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy.

 

Cooking and Fire

  • Cooking in guest rooms is strictly forbidden by the state health authorities.

  • Fees for additional cleaning may apply should the guest cook inside a guest room.

  • Due to fire regulations, Management must be aware of the number of guests in each of the rooms.

  • NO CANDLES OR OPEN FLAMES ARE PERMITTED.

  • Should the fire alarm be activated, the cost of Emergency Services attending will be charged to the guest.
